IOD Brayer

Applying paint with a brayer, working it in different directions, is a fun technique which achieves a thin smooth layer. I did it on the typesetting gallery piece today, using the dark paint over a brushed on base coat of white. Some of the brushed texture came through to the brayered dark coat for really nice texture. Because the brayered paint layer was very thin, i was able to easily achieve a lightly scratchy distress with coarse sand paper.
